(a) the details of the proposals approved by the Government till date to set up Van-Dhan-Kendras and the funds of allocated district-wise to set up these Kendras in Chhattisgarh State;
(b) the number of Van-Dhn vikas samuh constituted district-wise in Chhattisgarh State and the number of members on self help groups constituted under this scheme; and
(c) whether the Government is formulating scheme to identify the best performing kendras and if so, the details thereof?
(a) & (b) A total of 1770 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) has so far been sanctioned in 22 States & 1 Union Territory for promotion of tribal entrepreneurship and livelihood generations wherein a total of about 5.27 Lakhs beneficiaries have been associated. This includes 139 VDVKs sanctioned in Chhattisgarh State. Details of District-wise VDVKs sanctioned, funds allocated, VDVK Self Help Groups (SHGs) and number of members of SHGs in Chhattisgarh State is as under:

(c) VDVKs are in their initial stage of establishment. Out of 1770 VDVKs, 369 VDVKs are operational which have made sale of Rs.5.85 Cr. till date. Another 435 VDVKs are ready with their business plans which can commence their activities shortly. So far, no such scheme is under consideration of the Ministry for identifying best performing VDVKs.
