(a) whether the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has
any proposal to disburse loan for construction of 5640 dhobi ghats in rural areas ;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise including Andhra Pradesh; and
(c) the action taken so far in this regard?
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI NAMO NARAIN MEENA)
(a) to (c): National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)
provides fund for various activities in rural areas under Rural Infrastructure
Development Fund (RIDF), Construction of Dhobi Ghats in rural areas is not an
eligible activity under RIDF. Hence, no sanction for the same has been made
by NABARD.
