Question : National Rural Road Development Agency

(a) the details of the roads sanctioned by the National Rural Road Development Agency and the number of roads work in progress in Chhattisgarh at present;

(b) the length of the said roads (in Km.) along with the projected cost thereof;

(c) the number of roads for which proposal has been received by the said agency from PWD, Chhattisgarh for approval;

(d) whether revised estimate worth Rs. 1392.69 lakh dated 22.07.2019 regarding inter-State highway from Dongargarh to Bortalab under Rajnandgaon of Chhattisgarh State has been pending for approval in the said agency; and

(e) if so, the time by which it is likely to be approved?

(a) to (b): The details of road works sanctioned, completed and in progress under various interventions/verticals of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Chhatisgarh are as under:-

*Balance road length is less than the difference of sanctioned and completed length due to the reasons that some habitations were connected with less than the sanctioned length due to reduction in curve length, change in alignment, construction of part length by other agencies, etc.

(c): The Public Works Department, Government of Chhattisgarh has proposed 189 roads of 1068.115 km worth Rs 570.29 crore under Road Connectivity Project for Left Wing Extremism Areas (RCPLWEA). A meeting of the Pre-Empowered Committee has been fixed on 10th December, 2019 to consider the proposal submitted by the State Government.

(d) to (e): The proposal for revision of the estimate for Dongargarh to Bortalab under Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh under RCPLWEA has been received from the State Government. The State has been asked to comply with certain observations made on technical issues vide letter dated 28.11.2019. Once the observations are complied with satisfactorily, the proposal shall be considered on merit.
