(a) to (c): It has been decided to develop an International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam, Cochin. Cochin Port has already invited bids for this project on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. A container handling capacity of 1.5 million twenty feet equivalent units ( TEUs) is likely to be created in the first phase of this project with an ultimate capacity of 3.3 million TEUs by the year 2025 involving an estimated investment of Rs. 2118 crores.
