(a): No, Sir. The allocation of foodgrains in respect of families living Below Poverty Line (BPL) is being made by the Central Government to all States/Union Territories as per prescribed norm of 35 kg per family per month.
(b): Question does not arise.
(c): The item-wise stock of foodgrains as on 31st March, 2002 was 249.12 lakh tonnes of rice and 260.39 lakh tonnes of wheat in the Central Pool.
