Question : Funds Under National Ayush Mission

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the funds provided by the Government under the National Ayush Mission (NAM) during each of the last three years and the current year, scheme, stream and state/UT-wise;

(b) whether under the NAM grantin-aid is being provided to state/UT Government for different activities as per their proposed State Annual Action Plans, if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the cases of irregularities or under utilization of funds in implementation of NAM have come to the notice of the Government during the said period;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor along with the action taken by the Government in such cases so far, State/UT-wise; and

(e) the details of monitoring mechanism put in place for proper implementation of the said mission?

(a): The details of the funds provided by the Government under the National Ayush Mission (NAM) during each of the last three years and the current year, state/UT-wise is annexed.
(b): Yes, Under NAM, grant-in-aid is provided to the States/UTs as per the proposals reflected in the State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) for different activities as per the scheme provisions and resource pool indicated to them.
(c) & (d): No. The States/UTs are at various stages of utilization of funds provided under NAM.
(e): Implementation of the scheme comes under preview of State Government. However, Government of India has been pursuing with the State Government and has conducted various review meetings to expedite the utilization of grant.
