Question : ASSISTANCE FOR MACROMANAGEMENT OF SUPPLEMENTATION SCHEME IN M.P.



(a) whether a provision of financial assistance of Rs.12.92 crore has been made in the Annual Plan for the purpose of share-capital non overdue cover under the Macromanagement of Supplementation Scheme of Madhya Pradesh Cooperative Institutions during 2002-2003;

(b) whether the Union Government have to provide an amount of Rs.11.62 crore as their share to the Department of Cooperatives, Government of Madhya Pradesh under this Scheme;

(c) the details of the financial assistance provided so far to the State Government by the Union Government during the current financial year; and

(d) the time by which the rest of the amount will be provided to the State Government?

(a) to (d): The financial assistance under Macro Management Scheme is released in lump sum as per Work Plan prepared by the State Government and approved by Government of India. For the year 2002-03 the Work Plan of Madhya Pradesh was approved for an amount of Rs.50.00 crore. As per Work Plan, the Cooperation Department has been allocated an outlay of Rs.0.070 lakhs including a sum of Rs.0.010 lakhs for the component of long term loan to CCB for non- over due cover scheme.

The funds are released to the States as per guidelines prescribed by Ministry of Finance for implementation of Macro Management Scheme. The Department of Agriculture & Cooperation has already released a sum of Rs.22.50 crore as 1st installment and 2nd and the final instalment of Rs.21.00 crore to the Madhya Pradesh Government under the Macro Management of Agriculture Management Scheme for the year 2002-03
