(a):The current status and the expenditure incurred for construction and development of airports of Airports Authority of India (AAI) for which funds have been allocated during each of the last three years and the current year is at Annexure A.;
(b) & (c): Government of India (GoI) has granted ''in principle'' approval for development of 21 Greenfield Airports in the country. Out of these, Mopa in Goa, Navi Mumbai and Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, Bhogapuram and Dagadarthi in Andhra Pradesh, Dholera in Gujarat and Noida (Jewar) in Uttar Pradesh are under Public Private Partnership (PPP) by the respective State Governments. Estimated cost of developing these Greenfield airports is Rs. 45000 crore. The timeline for construction of airport projects depends upon many factors such as land acquisition, availability of mandatory clearances, financial closure etc. by the individual operator. State/UT-wise details of development works undertaken by AAI at its airports including in Bihar and the amount spent are at Annexure A. Further, with the approval of the Cabinet, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has successfully carried out the bidding process for leasing of six airports under PPP, viz. Guwahati, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mangalore and Trivandrum and issued Letter of Award on 15.7.2019 for leasing of Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangalore airports under PPP.
