Question : GOLDEN QUADRILATERAL PROJECT

(a) the current status of Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) Project along with the funds earmarked and expenditure incurred for the purpose;

(b) the details of stretches of the National Highways along with the length and mode of execution of the GQ Project, State-wise;

(c) whether there has been any inordinate delay in the completion of the project;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and

(e) the measures taken/being taken to complete the pro- ject without further delay?

(a) Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) projects have been completed in 2013-14. GQ was a part of National Highways Development Programme (NHDP) Phase-I which was approved at an estimated cost of Rs. 30,300 crore. The cumulative expenditure incu- rred on GQ is Rs. 32,197 crore.
