(a) whether the Union Government have received any proposal from Maharashtra Government for construction of International Airport in Panwel (Maharashtra);
(b) if so, whether the Government has taken any decision on this proposal; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons for delay?

(a), (b) & (c) :- The State Government of Maharashtra has
plans to develop a second airport at Navi Mumbai to meet the
long term air traffic requirements. The State Government
has been asked to complete the proposed technical/traffic
studies and then send a formal proposal for the
consideration of the Government.
