THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI NAMO NARAIN MEENA)
(a), (b) &(c): There is no scheme by the name of Rajiv Gandhi Housing Scheme. However, there is
a scheme named Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) which seeks to create a slum free India in partnership
with States that are willing to assign property rights to people living in slum areas. As the
Scheme is yet to reach the implementation stage, the question of complaints about
non-cooperation by the banks to provide loans to beneficiaries under the RAY does not arise.
