(a): Yes, Sir.
(b): Government has set up a Task Force on HRD to prepare a long term strategy for human Resource Development in IT. The first term of reference of the Task Force is to double the intake in engineering colleges in IT related disciplines from the academic year 2001-02 and triple it from the academic year 2003-04. This is expected to raise the output of IT professionals to over 2,00,000 by the year 2007.
