Question : IDENTITY CARDS UNDER MGNREGS

(a) whether the Government is contemplating to make specific Identity Cards for the workers under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS);

(b) if so, the manner in which these workers are likely to be benefited by such Identity Cards; and

(c) the State-wise details of amount likely to be released by the Union Government in this regard?

(a) to (c): No specific Identity Card is proposed to be issued under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA. Therefore, no funds are to be released by the Ministry in this regard.
