(a) whether the Government proposes to start new recruitment process in the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centres across the country in view of the upcoming Olympic Games and other international events;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of the steps taken/being taken in this regard along with the financial implications likely to be involved and funding pattern proposed in this regard?

(a) & (b): Madam, filling up of vacant posts is a continuous process.
Sports Authority of India (SAI) has started the recruitment process for 176 Assistant Coaches in 16 disciplines for utilization in various schemes of SAI for training of players.
(c) The estimated annual recurring financial implication towards payment of salary, based on 6th Pay Commission, on recruitment of 176 Assistant Coaches will be to the tune of Rs. 8,25,00,000/-.
In addition to this, Rs. 75 lakhs approx. will be given to the concerned Government agency for the recruitment process. The advertisement has already been issued in leading Hindi and English newspapers and also uploaded on the website of SAI.
