(a) whether the Government has identified certain thrust areas in the railways for development during the Twelfth Five Year Plan and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the progress made in this regard during the first three years of the Plan;
(c) the growth rate of Railways during the Tenth and Eleventh Five Year Plan periods;
(d) the steps proposed to be taken by the Government to achieve the desired target growth rate during the Twelfth Five Year Plan period; and
(e) whether the Government is considering to set yearly targets for growth rate instead of Plan period and if so, the details thereof?
