Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR JAL SHAKTI & SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT

(SHRI RATTAN LAL KATARIA)

(a) (a) & (b) Rajasthan gets its share of Yamuna water from Tajewala and Okhla distribution points. Rajasthan is not getting its allocated share of Yamuna water from Tajewala Barrage due to the non-existence of any agreement between the States of Rajasthan and Haryana towards canal system to transport Rajasthan’s share enroute Haryana territory.

(c) (c) & (d) In the 7th meeting of Upper Yamuna Review Committee held on 15.02.2018 with participation of all co-basin States including Haryana, the Govt. of Rajasthan was advised to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for “Transfer of Rajasthan’s share of Yamuna Water at Tajewala Headworks to Churu and Jhunjhnu District of Rajasthan by underground conveyance system”. The same has been submitted by Govt. of Rajasthan in Central Water Commission.
