(a) whether any financial assistance has been provided by the Government to the
bank established for the development of minorities so far;
(b) if so, the amount sanctioned and released during the last two years, year-wise; and
(c) if not, the efforts being made by the Government to release the entire
sanctioned amount immediately ?

(a) to (c) Presumably, the Hon`ble Member seeks to know about National Minorities
Development and Finance Corporation set up under the Companies Act, 1956 for the
development and welfare of the minorities. Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
has informed that a sum of Rs. 32 crores and Rs. 20 crore has been disbursed to the
Corporation during 1998-99 and 1999-2000 respectively.
