MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS

(SHRI CH. VIDYASAGAR RAO)

(a) 100 acress of land has been aquired for the CISF Recruit Training Centre, at Mundali (Chakradharpur) Cuttack (Orissa). Year-wise amount allocated and expenditure incurred are as under:-

Year	Amount	Expenditure	Allocated	Incurred
1996-96 Rs.42,000/- - 1997-98 Rs.4,20,000/- Rs.77,524/- 1998-99 Rs.36,62,800/- Rs.9,09,917/- 1999-2000 Rs.84,00,000/- Rs.34,00,000/-(Approx.)

(b)(c)(d)&(e) Because of extensive damage to the training infratructure in the temporary location at Paradeep on account of recent super cyclone, CISF had earlier decided to temporarily shift trainees to Deoli, Rajasthan so that the training is continued. However, the permanent location of the RTC is already decided at Mundali (Chakradharpur) near Cuttack (Orissa) where construction is under way. There were a number of representations which were replied to as also Parliament questions on the proposed shifting, answers to which were given against Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No.3038 answered on 20.12.99 and Rajya Sabha Unstarred Question No.1414 answered on 15.12.99. However, presently there is no proposal to shift the CISF RTC Paradeep to Deoli (Rajasthan) and RTC will be shifted to its permanent site at Mundali, Cuttack shortly.
