(a) whether the Railways are aware that the works on the railway line between
Agra Cantt. and Etawah is pending since long;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor;
(c) the steps taken by the Railways to expeditiously complete the work on said line;and
(d) the time by which said work is likely to be completed ?

(a) to (c): Agra-Etawah new line work was sanctioned in 1999-2000. The work has been progressing
as per availability of resources and present progress is about 80%.
(d): Agra-Fatehabad section of the project is targeted to be completed shortly. Target date of completion
for the remaining portion of the project has not yet been fixed.
