(a) the current status of the Coconut Research Centre at Neryamangalam in Kerala;
(b) whether the Government is considering to strengthen the Centre;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Government has a proposal to allocate more funds for the Centre; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (e): There is no Coconut Research Centre at Neryamangalam in Kerala. However, Government has established a Demonstration-cum-Seed Production (DSP) Farm in Neryamangalam for demonstration of scientific coconut cultivation and production of quality planting material for which an amount of Rs.48.568 lakh has been allocated during 2014-15, which is 10.26% higher than the expenditure of previous year.
