(a) to (c) Yes, Sir. The statutory Functional Plan of Transport sector of National Capital Region (NCR) suggested a Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) having dedicated dual track connecting all NCR towns including Bahadurgarh. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC), which is executing the Delhi Mass Rapid Transit System (Phase-1), has included the section from Shahdara to Nangloi. Bahadurgarh is about 13 kms. away from Nangloi. RITES, who were commissioned to carry out a survey for identification of Rail projects for commuter traffic in National Capital Region and Delhi, have also suggested strengthening and electrification of Nangloi- Bahadurgarh section in their Report. The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) has written to the beneficiary States to agree to the partial funding of the projects proposed in the Survey Report. Further action will be possible on receipt of feedback from the concerned State Governments.
