(a) the details of the number of households that have demanded work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Scheme (MGNREGS) since January 2020 till October 2021, month-wise and State-wise;
(b) the number of households that have been provided work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme since January 2020 till October 2021, month-wise and State-wise; and
(c) the reasons for not providing work to each household who have demanded it?

(a) State/UT-wise and month-wise detail of households demanded employment under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (Mahatma Gandhi NREGS) since January 2020 till October 2021 is given at Annexure-I.
(b) State/UT-wise and month-wise number of households who have been offered employment under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGS since January 2020 till October 2021 is given at Annexure-II.
State/UT-wise and month-wise number of households who have been turned up at the worksites and thus availed employment under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGS since January 2020 till October 2021 is given at Annexure-III.
(c) Mahatma Gandhi NREGS is a demand driven wage employment Scheme. It provides livelihood security i.e., fall back options for livelihood for the rural households when no better employment opportunity is available. It also needs to be mentioned that the the Program is mandated to provide employment to an individual to the extent of the entitlement of the household within 15 days of such demand or such other further date from which the employment is demanded.
The utilisation of work offeredby the workers is influenced by various factors such as rain-fall, availability of alternative and remunerative employment opportunities outside Mahatma Gandhi NREGS.
