(a) whether the Government is revising the development fee at major airports;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the reasons therefor; and
(d) the amount so far collected as development fee at each
airport and the manner in which it is being utilised?

(a): No, Sir. However, an independent regulatory authority will decide these
issues.
(b) & (c): Do not arise.
(d): The amount collected as Development Fee by M/s Delhi
International Airport Pvt. Ltd and by M/s Mumbai
International Airport Pvt. Ltd. has been Rs.323.11 crores
Rs.119.75 crores respectively up to October, 2009. Funds
collected through the levy is to be utilised only for the
construction of such aeronautical assets which will be
transferred by the Joint Venture Companies to Airports
Authority of India upon completion of lease period.
