(a) whether there is any proposal to give special training to the
officers and staff of ESIC in their related field regularly and in a
systematic manner;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor;
(d) the reason for not registering All India Scheduled Castes and
Scheduled Tribes Federation of Employees State Insurance Corporation;
and
(e) number of SCs/STs Unions, Federations, registered/recognised
by the ESIC?

(a) to (c): The ESI Corporation has set up a Human Resource
Development Division comprising a Central Training Institute and four
Zonal Training Centres i.e. one each at Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai and
Bangalore for im parting necessary systematic training to insurance
inspectors, local office Managers and other staff of the
Corporation. The officers of the Corporation are also nominated for
training at reputed training institutions such as Indian Institute of
Management, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Institute of
Secretariate Training and Management etc.
(d) & (e): The work relating to registration of
Federations/Unions is not under the jurisdiction of the ESI
Corporation. As such the Question of not registering/recognising All
India SC/ST Federation by the ESIC does not arise.
