(a) whether the Government has any long term plan to construct border fencing between India and Myanmar in Manipur State section;
(b) if so, the details of the target and progress till date;
(c) whether there is any problem or hurdles from the local people in the construction work of the border fencing; and
(d) if so, the steps taken to solve the problem?

(a) to (d): The strengthening of border guarding arrangements including infrastructure is an ongoing process, keeping in view security requirements and availability of resources. As of now, there is no proposal to construct border fencing between India and Myanmar in Manipur State section.
