(a) whether Indian IT companies are misusing the provisions to get ‘H-1 Visa’ for their employees;
(b) if so, the details of steps taken by the Government in this regard; and
(c) the action being taken against the companies who are indulging in these activities?

(a) Media reports and a joint news release by the US Senators from Alabama and Illinois in June 2015 indicate that the US Department of Labour (USDOL) has opened an investigation against two Indian companies for their alleged misuse of H-1B visas.
(b) & (c) It is a matter between the Government of United States and the relevant companies on the use of US visas.
