(a) the objectives of Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY);
(b) whether the Government has restructured the scheme;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the details of funds allocated, released and expenditure incurred under SJSRY during the last three years; year-wise and State-wise?

(a) to (c): The Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation was implementing a Centrally Sponsored Scheme namely Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) through the State/UT Governments. The Scheme aimed at providing gainful employment to the urban unemployed and under-employed poor by encouraging setting up of self employment ventures by the urban poor, skills training and through providing wage employment by utilizing their labour for construction of socially and economically useful public assets.
Now, SJSRY has been restructured into National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) since September, 2013. The NULM aims at organizing urban poor in self help groups, imparting skill training to urban poor for self and wage employment and helping them to set up self-employment venture by providing credit on subsidized rate of interest. In addition, shelter for urban homeless and infrastructure for street vendors can also be taken up under this Mission. The NULM has six major components:-
(i) Social Mobilization and Institution Development (SM&ID) (ii) Capacity Building and Training (CB&T) (iii) Employment through Skills Training and Placement (EST&P): (iv) Self-Employment Programme (SEP) (v) Support to Urban Street Vendors (SUSV) (vi) Scheme of Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH)
(d): The Statement showing State-wise, funds allocated, released and unitization under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY)/ National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) during the last three years is annexed.
