Question : Aerospace in Andhra Pradesh

(a) whether the Union Government is considering the request made by Government of Andhra Pradesh regarding Establishment of Centre of Excellence for Aerospace Manufacturing Skill Development to enable “Make in India” for Aerospace in Andhra Pradesh; and

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is in receipt of a proposal from Government of Andhra Pradesh for setting up of centre of excellence for Aerospace Manufacturing Skill Development under Boeing Company’s skill development project. The Boeing Company proposes to engage in skill development under its Defence Offset obligation. The Boeing company’s proposal is still under examination and valuation.
