(a) whether the Government has allotted less funds for Ayurvedic system of Treatment in Rajasthan this year in comparison to the last year;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor, ;
(c) whether a number of organisations associated with the Government have requested for increasing the funds ; and
(d) if so, the steps taken by the Government in regard?

(a) and (b): The Central Government has provided more funds this year for promotion of Ayurveda to Rajasthan under the various Centrally Sponsored Schemes, namely, Development of Health Care Facilities of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy (ISM&H); Development of Educational Institutions and Strengthening of Quality control, compared to last year. The financial assistance given in 2004-05 to Rajasthan for promotion of Ayurveda is to the tune of Rs.564.43 lakh against Rs.40.07 lakh in 2003-04.
