Question : Corona Assistance to Rajasthan

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the physical resources provided by the Government to the Government of Rajasthan during the Corona crises;

(b) the financial assistance and resources provided by the Government to Rajasthan for setting up of Corona testing laboratories in the State;

(c) whether the quantum of funds approved/ sanctioned by the Government for setting up of medical college at Nagaur in Rajasthan, have been provided to the State Government of Rajasthan; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

ANSWER

(a) As on 14.09.2020, following Physical resources have been provided to State of Rajasthan by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI:

(b) The funds released to States/ UTs can be utilised as per their felt needs and priorities. Funds are not released specifically for any activity. The funds released to the State of Rajasthan for management and containment of COVID-19 pandemic during FY 2019-20 and FY 2020-21 are Rs 83.35 crore and Rs 285.01 crore respectively.

(c) & (d) A medical college at Nagaur, Rajasthan has been approved under the Phase-III of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Establishment of new medical colleges attached with existing district/ referral hospitals” on 27.09.2019 at a cost of Rs 325 crore with a Central Share of Rs 195 crore. An amount of Rs 50 crore has been released as first instalment so far.
