(a) the details of Kendriya Vidyalayas functioning in the country alongwith the
number of students enrolled in each of the said vidyalayas, State-wise/Union
Territory-wise; and
(b) the details of amount of funds released for construction of kendriya vidyalaya
buildings, State-wise?

(a) As on date there are 1234 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) including 3 abroad.
State /UT wise number of students enrolled in each of the KVs in the country are at
Annexure-I.
(b) Grant-in-aid is provided to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under three
distinct heads viz. Salaries, General and Capital Assets. This allocation is made on a
consolidated basis and not State / UT-wise. The State / UT-wise details of funds
released by KVS for constructions of KV buildings during the year 2019-2020 are at
Annexure-II.
