(a) whether the Government has identified location and land in various States including Uttarakhand for setting up institutes for education and research based on the Himalayas;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the funds released for the purpose along with the progress made in the direction of implementing this scheme till date;
(c) whether the proposed structure of the institutes has been prepared and if so, the details thereof;
(d) the names of the subjects identified for research and education in the institutes; and
(e) the likely role of the State Governments in it?
