Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES
(SHRI AJAY TAMTA)

(a) to (d): Acceptable fluctuations in the physical and financial progress of yarn supply in some states including Maharashtra happens due to the variation in preferential requirements of the handloom weavers and other eligible handloom agencies i.e. type of fibre (Cotton, Silk, Wool, Jute etc); type of counts (coarser , finer) etc. Government of India is organizing camps in the handloom clusters to increase the awareness amongst the weavers about the benefits of Yarn Supply Scheme, arrange training for using e-Dhaga app, issuance of Yarn Pass Books, Placing of indents by weavers for yarn supply and distribution of subsidized yarn against indents.
