(a) The Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) being implemented with effect from 1st April, 2016 aims to provide “Housing for all” through provision of pucca houses with basic amenities to all houseless households and households living in kutcha and dilapidated houses in rural areas by the year 2022. The total number of houses built under PMAY-G during 2016-17 to 2019-20 in the State of Tamil Nadu is given at Annexure-I.
(b)&(c) As per Framework for Implementation (FFI) of PMAY-G, a grievance redressal mechanism has been set up at different levels of administration viz., Gram Panchayat, Block, District and the State level. An official of the State Government is designated at each level to ensure disposal of grievances to the satisfaction of the complainant. The detail of the designated grievance redressal official (including name, telephone number and address) at each level for addressing the grievance and the procedure to file the grievance is to be prominently displayed in each Panchayat. There is also a procedure of lodging of complaints on the Centralized Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) portal (pgportal.gov.in). The complaints received in the Ministry through CPGRAMs or otherwise, are forwarded to the respective State Governments for redressal of the grievance and furnishing the Action Taken Report to the Ministry under intimation to the complainant within one month of receipt of the complaint.
