(a) and (b) Roads under the Golden Quadrilateral are being designed with adequate drainage system. Drainage system in urban areas are generally being provided on both sides of the road while in non-urban areas the camber in the pavement/shoulders facilitates discharge of the storm water from National Highways. Median drains, chute drains and cross drainage works are also provided wherever required, as per site conditions.
