Question : RUNNING OF MUMBAI-DELHI RAJDHANI EXPRESS



(a) whether the Railways are aware that all the Rajdhani Express trains running between Mumbai and Delhi are being run via Surat and Vadodara;

(b) if so, whether the Railways are also aware that the people of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh are unable to avail of this facility;

(c) if so, whether any proposal to run Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express via Nasik Road, Manmad and Bhopal is under consideration of the Railways; and

(d) if so, the time by which the decision is likely to be implemented in this regard?

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b): No, Sir. The two Mumbai- Delhi Rajdhani trains originates from Maharastra and have stoppage at Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh). Moreover, 2953/2954 Mumbai- Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express has additional stoppages at Borivali (Maharastra) & Nagda (Madhya Pradesh).
