Question : Stoppage of Sant Kabir Dham Express

(a) whether the Government will ensure the stoppage of Sant Kabir Dham Express plying between Gorakhpur and Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at Sant Kabir Nagar which does not have its stoppage there at present;

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(c) whether the Government shall consider to provide the stoppage of some of the express and superfast trains passing through Kabir Dham at Maghar, the place of international significance and if so, the details of the trains which pass through this place?

(a) to (c) No, Madam. There is no station named “Sant Kabir Nagar” in Indian Railways, at present. Further, Maghar station which is nearest Railway station to Sant Kabir Dham is presently being served by 04 pairs of Mail/Express and 03 pairs of Passenger trains. There is no proposal for stoppage of additional trains at Maghar station presently.
