(a) whether any asset reconstruction company is proposed to be established to take over stranded project and nurse them;
(b) if so, the details of the number of projects that are proposed to be revived by that company, State-wise;
(c) whether banks are proposed to be associated for this work; and
(d) if so, the details thereof including the role of banks?

(a) to (d) National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Board had accorded in-principle approval to form a company similar to Asset Reconstruction Company to help the funding of last mile completion of stressed projects and had urged the Indian Banks Association to examine whether creation of such an entity would be helpful to buy-out projects from distressed lenders, complete the same and thereafter divest from them. No such company has been incorporated till date.
