(a): The estimated number of visits of tourists who stayed at hotels and other accommodation
establishments run on commercial basis in the years 1999 and 2000 are 197 million and 216 million
respectively. Similar data for the year 2001 is not available.
(b): The estimated number of foreign tourist arrival to the country and domestic tourist visits in the
country during the last two years is as follows:
