(a) whether the soldiers of the Armed Forces deployed on borders in difficult
situations are being paid meager salaries and are also not being provided
adequate facilities;
(b) if so, the details of the facilities and salaries being paid to them;
(c) whether the Government proposes to take any steps to provide adequate facilities to the soldiers and to enhance their salaries; and
(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a)to(d) : Appropriate pay and allowances are being paid to the soldiers in terms
of Government orders issued from time to time.Improvement to facilities and
infrastructure is an on-going process. Government has recently set up the 6th
Central Pay Commission to look into the matters of pay and allowances of all
Government employees including the armed forces personnel.
