(a) to (c) The Government is implementing various schemes/ programmes across 20 Central Ministries/ Departments for skill development of the youth covering all sections of the society, including tribal communities. The number of candidates, including tribal candidates, who have benefitted under skill training programmes of various Ministries viz. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in Kerala from 2017-18 to 2020-21 and fund released to Kerala under these schemes are as follows:

(d) & (e) Presently, MSDE has not received any proposal from the State of Kerala regarding launching of skill development scheme for tribal communities. The Ministry has, inter-alia, taken the following steps to improve skill development in the States including Kerala:
? MSDE has allocated adequate funds to State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs) under PMKVY 3.0 for promotion of the scheme and has given full authority to utilize the funds for adopting the communication outreach, which works best at local level.
? MSDE engages periodically with the media and does advocacy with regard to skill development and its relevance to the current market demand, through Rozgar Melas, Kaushal Mahotsav, and counselling sessions for youth, interactive sessions and activities, panel discussions, Kushal Yuva Samvaad and also through events to celebrate their success, achievements and milestones.
? MSDE, through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), organizes skill competitions such as IndiaSkills which are conducted across State, regional and national levels to make skills aspirational for youth.
? Various organizations under the aegis of MSDE viz. NSDC, Directorate General of Training, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, and National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) create awareness at their respective levels.
