(a) the details of railway track, in kilometers, converted
from meter gauge to broad gauge during the each of the last
three years, State-wise, specially in Maharashtra ;
(b) the target fixed for gauge conversion under the Tenth Plan; and
(c) the quantum of funds allocated by the Government for this purpose?

(a): The details are given in the attached statement.
(b) & (c): A target of 2365 Kms of Gauge Conversion has
been fixed for Xth Five Year Plan. Funds for the railway
projects are allocated on year to year basis. A target of
1,000 km of gauge conversion has been fixed for completion
during the year 2004-05 for which Rs.790.28 crore has been
allocated.
