(a) whether the volume of cargo and travellers is going to increase tremendously and with
a shortage and improper deployment of staff, there are some problems at new Bangalore
airport;
(b) if so, whether it is important for the Government to raise the level of understanding
and technical expertise to adapt to the new changes; and
(c) if so, the details and the steps likely to meet the shortage of staff at the new
Bangalore airport?

(a),(b)&(c): M/s. Bangalore International Airport Limited(BIAL),which is mandated to
construct and manage the new Bangalore airport at Devanahalli,expects a continued increase in
cargo and passenger traffic volume in the years ahead and has made provisions to augment
airport infrastructure and manpower accordingly.BIAL does not anticipate any shortage of
staff to handle cargo & passenger traffic volume.
