(a)& (b) No degrees are awarded by the Madrasas.
However, the certificates/qualifications of the State
Madrasa Boards which have been granted equivalence by the
corresponding State Education Boards to that of their
Secondary and Senior Secondary qualification, have been
equated with corresponding levels of the Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE), The Council of Boards of
School Education in India (COBSE) and other School
Examination Boards, for the purpose of employment and
entry to higher levels of education. The necessary
notification has been issued by the Ministry of Human
Resource Development and the Department of Personnel and
Training vide their O.M. No. 42012/13/2007-Estt. (D)
dated 23.2.2010.
