(a) whether any skill development programmes are being run by the Government specifically for girls of rural areas;
(b) if so, the details of the schemes for girls in rural areas in West Bengal;
(c) the number of girls who have been enrolled in such schemes; and
(d) the percentage of girls from the above number who have been gainfully employed?

(a): The Ministry of Rural Development is not undertaking any skill development programme specifically for girls of rural areas. However, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY), the placement linked skill development program for rural poor youth, provides for a mandatory coverage of 33% women candidates in all its skill development projects.
