(a) whether the Government plans to upgrade website for better visual interaction and if so, the details thereof;
(b) if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Government plans to build an mobile application to view freely available data and if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Upgrading of website of the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation is taken up from time to time, as per the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), which ensure inter-alia better visual interaction. The upgraded website will be accessible by the visually challenged people also by using the freely downloadable assistive “Screen Reader Access” tool.
(c) At present, there is no provision for mobile application.
(d) Mobile owners having internet access can access data freely.
