(a) the details of Food Processing Training Centre (FPTC)
and training-cum-product development centers set up by the
Government in various States during the last three years,
till date, State-wise;
(b) the details of the special schemes and programmes for
SC/ST in these centres; and
(c) the financial assistance given by the Government in
this regard during the last three years, centre-wise?

(a): The Government does not set up these centers but only
assists State Government Organizations, Educational &
Training Institutions, NGOs, Cooperatives etc. to do so. 70
food processing training centers have been assisted during
last three years and upto 31st July, 2007 as shown in
Annexure-I.
(b): Priority is given to the people belonging to SC/ST/OBC
and women in the selection for trainees in Food Processing
Training Centers..
(c): Centre-wise financial assistance provided during
the last three years is given in Annexure – II.
