Question : Heritage Recognition to Ramappa Temple

(a) whether the Government of Telangana has requested for heritage recognition of some temples in the State including Ramappa temple; and

(b) if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon including release of funds and funds spent for its development?

(a)& (b) Yes Sir, Government of Telangana has submitted proposal for recognition of Ramappa Temple as World Heritage Site for the nomination cycle 2019-20. ICOMOS expert has evaluated the site in the month of Sep 2019. Recently a small delegation team on behalf of Govt. of Telangana has also attended the ICOMOS World Heritage Panel Meeting in Paris on 22.11.2019 on the invitation of Director, ICOMOS evaluation unit to discuss the issues identified during the course of Evaluation process. The funds spent by ASI and State Govt. of Telangana are annexed at Annexure-‘A’.
