(a) whether the Government has inducted all the three Boeing Business Jet aircraft for
the use of VIP travel;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the acquisition process deviated from the laid down procedures in this regard;
(d) if so, the details thereof;
(e) whether the said aircrafts are proposed to be used for international travel of VIPs;and
(f) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. The three Boeing Business Jet aircraft were inducted into the
Indian Air Force in August 2008, October 2008 and January 2009 respectively.
(c) & (d): No, Madam.
(e) & (f): Boeing Business Jet aircraft have a range of 3140 nautical miles.
This enables the aircraft to fly upto Europe without refuelling and to destinations beyond that
with one refuelling stop.
