Question : Toll Booths in Rajasthan


(a) the number and the details of toll booths set up by the National Highways Authority of India on National Highways in the State of Rajasthan along with the date since when these booths are functioning, location-wise;

(b) whether the facility of return toll journey is not being given to the commuters at these toll booths;

(c) if so, the reasons therefor along with the steps taken by the Government to provide the facility of return toll journey at the said toll booths;

(d) whether the Government has provided or proposes to provide the facilities of free passes and monthly passes to the local residents/villagers/ commuters at these toll booths; and

(e) if so, the details thereof along with the criteria adopted for the purpose?

(a) Details of operational Toll Plazas in the State of Rajasthan is at Annexure.
(b) to (e) No Sir. NH Fee Rules provides for discounted passes for local resident residing within a distance of 20 km from the existing toll plaza in case of Public Funded Projects provided further that no such passes be issued if a service road or alternate road is available for use. However in case of Public Private Partnership Project, exemptions are provided in accordance with provision of concession agreement.
